As most of our clients have been in business for years, we understand how hard you’ve worked to build your business, and welcoming someone new into your team is not always easy. We make it a goal of ours to be transparent in each and every step of our creative process, providing you with all the confidence and clarity you need to make the best decisions for your business.
Before you even book, you will have a clear understanding of timelines, deadlines, and what to expect every step of the way. We have detailed step-by-step guides to help stay as transparent as possible and clearly communicate upfront and throughout the process, removing any mystery or fear of what’s going on with your project at all times.
We have never missed a deadline. Ever. This is something we are incredibly proud of. We understand how critical it is for your brand or website to be live and working for you. This is why we only take on between 2 to 3 projects per month to ensure that your business receives the attention to detail and energy needed to accomplish all work on time and at the highest quality. Not only by us, but by you, our client as well. We don’t shift timelines, we don’t miss deadlines, and we hold our clients to the same standards that we hold ourselves. Together we make sure that your project not only gets done on time, but done right the first time.
We often book months out in advance due to our limited monthly schedule, which allows us to properly plan, strategize, and collect all the right content for your unique project. While there may be time between booking and your project’s start date, you will be working closely with our content development specialist, curating all images, text, and information needed for your specific project. So that by the time your project’s start date arrives, you just get to relax and enjoy the creative process.
Every design and development decision is made with you in mind as our goal is to present you with a product that you can manage, maintain, and expand on your own as your business continues to grow. With business development at the core of our services, we act as more than just your design team, but as business consultants for any ideas or questions you might have about your brand’s design or development on or off the web.
By focusing on clear communication, intuitive design, and making both meaningful and functional design decisions, we help you create an online identity that truly reflects the goals and values of your business where you are today, while preparing you for where you’ll take your business in the future.
Before any contracts are signed or design work begins, we sit down with you for a complimentary design consult via video chat to make sure that we are the right fit for you and your business. Not all designers are perfect for every project, so it’s important to find the right designer for your brand. As we only take on a limited number of clients each month, we want to make sure that we are a perfect fit before jumping into design mode, and this meeting helps us do just that.
If all goes well during our complimentary consultation, we will then create a custom project Proposal complete with timelines, pricing, installment plans, calendars, and more as it relates to your specific project. If all looks good, you will sign and return the signature page at the end of the proposal and we’ll follow up with your project booking invoice via check or PayPal.
Once your project is booked and your booking deposit has cleared, we schedule a strategy session video call with the whole team, where we create a custom creative action plan for your website. This includes navigation, user experience, custom elements, plug-ins, pages, photography and more. By the end of this call, you’ll know exactly what your homework is between now and the start date of your project.
Starting at your website’s strategy session and extending through the launch of your website, you work one-on-one with Justin Farrell, founder of White Hattery Digital Marketing, as he guides you through a detailed research and keyword strategy sessions, curating only the most useful content for your website and optimizing your information so that it is properly registered on all of the top search engines. All content sessions are customized to best fit your brand, so whether you are a local brick and mortar brand looking to hold more authority over the local market, or are strictly online and want to better expand your business’s reach, Justin is here to help you do just that.
As all site content and information is due on the Monday before we start your site design, we will do our pre-project check just before we begin your project, making sure everything discussed during our strategy call is still current and that all necessary content and images have been delivered.
Now the fun begins. Because you worked so hard before we started to collect and deliver all of your content, you now get to relax and enjoy the design process. Because we have all your content in advance, we are able to create much more accurate and authentic design mockups for you to select from, expediting the design process and helping you know exactly what your site will look like, and that you love it.
Depending on the size of your site, you will receive between 3-4 page designs at a time, allowing you to be as picky and specific with every detail, instead of being overwhelmed with too much information at once. This helps you provide faster feedback, and we make quicker adjustments.
Every website is built on our hosting. The site is live but is password protected for you to follow along with every stage of the build, having immediate access to progress and the ability to make edits and suggestions. This access makes it possible for you to view your site on all of your devices, provide faster feedback and for us to make faster edits and adjustments; instead of waiting until our weekly meetings.
Because we build on our hosting, this allows us to test the functionality of your site on a working live, although hidden, website. This eliminates so many of the surprises and conflicts that can happen during a launch when a site is built offline. We always launch on Mondays with a “soft launch” meaning we transfer your site to your hosting and do our thorough post-launch site check.
If all checks out and the site is working seamlessly, we celebrate your official launch on Tuesday, promoting your site to our followers and creative community, submitting your site to Google, and set up your Google Analytics so you can track the experience and flow of your site as you grow.
At the end of every project, we host one-on-one teaching sessions to help provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to confidently take over your online presence and immediately begin using your new tools. We record every teaching session and create a private YouTube playlist for you to reference in the future as you continue to build your confidence in managing and maintaining your own site.
For all US-based design clients, you’ll also receive a USB drive with the hard files of your branding and custom website pieces in order to have a safe and secure version for your own records.
