Safe House Security & Consulting
Website and Branding for a Security and Consulting Agency
Safe House Security and Consulting was founded to effectively dissolve the label of “soft target” amongst churches. After more than ten years of serving many of the world’s most well-known pastors, speakers, politicians, and athletes, they understand how to intentionally serve others using their knowledge and experience in safety and security. Their goal is to reposition churches from being a soft target to a Safe House.

Project Goals
Approachable and Engaging Brand Identity and Experience for a Traditionally Avoided Industry
Whiskey & Red were brought on to help provide a custom visual identity and WordPress website that matched the strength and security of the services Safe House provides to their target clients – Churches. With the escalating violence in the religious communities – despite denomination – there was no better time than right now to help spread the Safe House mission and message.
Logo Design
The combination of two modern contrasting Sans-Serif fonts creates a complementary urban pairing. One tall, clean, and confident – the other bold, wide and strong. Secured together by a clean boxed border, framing the full set of type marks that make up the Safe House brand.

Typography
Clean, Strong, Minimal, Modern
The combination of two modern contrasting Sans-Serif typefaces supports the minimal modern look the client was looking for. The tall clean lines of the Oswald typeface bring an organized secure feel to the primary Wordmark. Montserrat, the strapline font, is a modern Urban font, representing the urban areas that Safe House often works in with their clients.

Strength

The tall clean Sans-Serif typography gives a sense of strength and confidence to the brand Wordmark.

The wrapped box around the Wordmark represents the spaces in which they consult and advise their clients on.
Services

As if wrapping someone up in a protective embrace, both their core service scope, “Consulting” and “Security” are apart of the protective box around the primary Wordmark, “Safe House.”

Brand Collateral
Custom Raised Spot Gloss Business Cards
We designed Safe House’s business cards using Moo’s 32pt thick Luxe cards – a luxury textured and impressively thick card – along with their raised spot glass design accent. With the goal of creating a sense of strength and stability, the raised element provided that for us, with the glossy shine of the glass accent representing an approachable transparency, attempting to eliminate much of the fear associated with security firms.
Responsive Website Design
The brand’s primary marketing platform is Youtube, which has both a strong mobile and desktop userbase, so we wanted their website to mirror that, and provide a seamless experience across all devices and screen sizes.
An Emotional Design
The parallax scroll through the website gives a smooth and clean feeling as the user journeys through the website. This supports the company’s goal of creating an organized and smooth experience through their consulting and educational services. The wide-open viewports with the big stock images also support their goal of complete transparency, aiding in elevating the confidence level of their target clients to make it easier for them to seek the security help their church or space needs.
Client Testimonial
“We first discovered Whiskey and Red on Pinterest. We were looking for a website designer, preferably a small business owner so that we could be in direct contact with the designer throughout the process and to ensure the designer would understand our needs as a startup company. Julie and Steve are an absolute dynamic duo! Julie and her team work with excellence while maintaining a sense of ease, which was greatly appreciated as we embarked on this new journey! We would absolutely work with Whiskey and Red again.”
